Over dit evenement
You’ve probably heard of Qigong before, or maybe seen something about it online. It’s not as well known as yoga, yet. Perhaps you once thought about giving it a try? Now’s your chance!
In this 3-day workshop, you’ll discover the deeper working principles of Qigong. You’ll learn how this ancient Chinese practice uses movement, breathing, and focus to improve your health, energy, and vitality, and how you can apply it in your own life.
WHAT IS SONG?
During the workshop, we will explore the central concept of "Song". Translated loosely, Song means being free from unnecessary tension.
In martial arts such as Kung Fu or Tai Chi, Song is not simply relaxation, but a deep, conscious state of ease in which the body is active, open, and powerfully present.
The deeper a person can sink into stillness, the more efficiently energy can flow, and the greater the
power becomes. Song is not limp, but a relaxed state of mental and physical readiness.
KUNLUN DAYAN SHEN QIGONG
We will also practice a classical form of Qigong: Kunlun Dayan Shen. This is a Taoist Qigong system that originated in the high-altitude Kunlun Mountains, where monks living in the lower valleys observed wild geese and transformed their movements into a comprehensive and powerful practice system.
The goose in question is most likely the Bar-Headed Goose, a biologically exceptional species capable of flying for kilometers at extreme altitudes thanks to its unique lung capacity and oxygen processing.
This practice primarily focuses on strengthening kidney energy (腎 – Shèn). In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the kidneys are considered the carriers of Jing, the essence of our vital life force. The movements are fluid, deep, and gently activating. They help you ground yourself, relax, and build your energy.
