Kirtan Amsterdam

"Thuiskomen" is misschien wel de beste typering van mijn beleving.
De atmosfeer ademde de liefdevolle uitwisseling van Krishna met Zijn devotees en omgekeerd.
Het heeft me enorm geïnspireerd.

Derde jaar dat ik de Kirtan Mela Amsterdam meemaak en het wordt ieder jaar beter!
Ode aan de organisatie, wetende dat dit non-profit is puur georganiseerd voor de liefde voor kirtan en de maha mantra. Dat is op de meest positieve manier voelbaar!

Amazing event. I went with a few friends and one of them summarised it perfectly: "It had everything" - Nice people, loving atmosphere, incredible food. Thank you!

I have been on the path of yoga, mantra chanting, and spiritual music for over 12 years.

One of the most basic principles in yoga, especially from traditions like Ashtanga, is saucha — cleanliness and purity.

That is why I was honestly disappointed by this event.

A huge number of people packed into a closed church space, all shoes thrown together in one room in an unhygienic way, long chaotic food lines, and some people who seemed close to the community simply skipping the queue and taking food while others waited.

Kirtan is not only performance, chanting, smiles, and spiritual appearance.

Basic hygiene, respect for people's space, fairness, and care for the wellbeing of the community are also spirituality.

Unfortunately, instead of leaving with uplifting energy, I left feeling physically unwell and likely with a virus.

I hope future events can reflect not only the beauty of the music, but also the basic principles of care, cleanliness, and respect.

Goede kirtanyas, goede sfeer en heerlijke vegetarische maaltijd. Kortom zeer geslaagd weer👍😀 veel dank aan iedereen die bij heeft gedragen om dit festival tot een succes te maken. Haribol!😁🙏

Haribol. It was my first Kirtan Mele in Amsterdam and I was very positively impressed with the atmosphere. Nice place, beautiful kirtans, delicious prasadam - everything was great 😊 thank you for organising.

Really a good experience but the space for the kirtan was small an uncomfortable. Maybe the next time more space.

Wat een bijzondere ervaring, de eerste keer live zo'n grootschalig festival meegemaakt.
Alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld, supergoede optredens en fantastische sfeer. Kan ik al tickets bestellen voor komend jaar?😀

Attended a beautiful Kirtan event in Amsterdam and had a truly positive experience. The atmosphere was peaceful, uplifting, and full of positive energy. The music, chanting, and overall vibe created a deep sense of connection and calm. The organizers and participants made everyone feel welcome, and the entire evening was very well conducted. Looking forward to attending again!

Het was beter dan seks. Hartelijk dank voor het organiseren van dergelijke evenementen.

Extremely disappointed by the organisation, no space to sit, long speeches, pushy marketing for similar events while eating, overcrowded, long lines for food (30 min) dinner was lunch leftovers heated for so many times I had a severe stomach reaction to it. Good intentions but completely disorganised and unpleasant experience.

Wow, it was the first time I/we were joining this event from the Iskcon, and it was soooo powerful and joyful...it opened a new layer...beyond words....
