Come to learn the fundamentals of shibari, the Japanese art of emotionally connected tying, from a dojo-trained teacher.
CONTENT: This three hour workshop focuses on understanding the fundamental philosophies behind shibari, learning basics of rope handling and how to use the rope as a conduit of Ki-energy between the giver and the receiver. After this workshop you will be able to offer an emotionally and energetically connected rope experience to someone else or a meditative experience to yourself. Every participant is expected to be able to step in both in the giving and in the receiving role. No pre-agreed partner required.
VENUE: The workshop is organised at Casa LoJeMa in Bierbeek, the home of Tantric BDSI and ConSensual - embody your temple.
DATE AND TIME: Wednesday 28 August. The workshop starts at 6PM sharp. Please aim to arrive 15-20 minutes in advance to land and to have a cup of tea.
This workshop is a repeat of the sold out workshop we organised on 25 May. A series of deepening workshops that focus more on techniques will follow starting October 2024. The workshop will be held in English.
