Bij de Singin’ for (inner) Peace – Meezingconcerten zingen de gastgevers Janina en Uli en het Sista’s koor samen met hun gastkoor en met het publiek. Doel is om de vele zingende multiculturele Enschedeërs bij elkaar te brengen en via de muziek de verbinding met elkaar te voelen. Op 26 september is ons gastkoor het ‘RCCG Amazing Grace Sanctuary Choir Enschede’ (Black Gospel). De leden van dit koor komen allemaal uit Afrika en vieren un geloof in de Afrikaanse traditie: vol overgave zingend. Heel bijzonder om mee te maken. Ze treden regelmatig op tijdens de vieringen van de Enschedese afdeling van de Afrikaanse RCCG-church.
De twee koren zingen samen elkaars liederen en nodigen het publiek uit om mee te zingen. Want samen zingen is als samen eten delen - het is een gebaar van gastvrijheid en openheid voor elkaar.

Locatie is de 'Kerk van Goud' (voormalige Oosterkerk) waar ruimte is voor 500 mensen. Neem dus al je vrienden an familie mee, want hoe groter en diverser de zanggroep

Richtbedragen voor een donatie-ticket (Kinderen zijn altijd gratis)
rond €7 voor mensen met laag inkomen
rond €14 voor mensen met normaal inkomen
rond €20 voor mensen die graag iets extra's willen geven.
Als je nog minder geld te besteden hebt ben je alsnog van harte welkom op 26 september. Er zijn voldoende plekken in de kerk.

Het repertoire ....
... is een bijzondere mix van​ traditionele wereldliederen (Roma, Arabisch, Afrikaans, Indias) en de moderne Gospel​-songs van ons gastkoor.

Muzikale begeleiding
Zo een meezingconcert heeft een stevige muzikale basis nodig. Daarvoor hebben we ervaren contrabassist Uli Wentzlaff-Eggebert en Ies Muller, een van de beste Folk fluitisten van Nederlandse bodem. Janina Stopperka op accordeon en ukelele.

Verbinding creëren
We vertrouwen erop, dat muziek een universele taal is, die iedereen, los van zijn culturele achtergrond begrijpt. De vrouwen van het Sists’s-koor staan daarom tijdens het Meezingconcert tussen het publiek in, zodat iedereen snel de liederen oppakt en voluit mee durft te zingen. De liederen worden vaak herhaalt en de (meestal korte) teksten worden op een scherm getoond. Gevorderde zangers zijn uitgenodigd om tweede stemmen te improviseren.

Gastkoor
Het Afrikaanse 'RCCG Amazing Grace Sanctuary Choir Enschede' treed regelmatig op tijdens de vieringen van de Enschedese afdeling van de Afrikaanse RCCG-church. De Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is een pinkstergemeente van Afrikaanse bodem met het hoofdkantoor gevestigd in Nigeria. Het is een van de grootste kerkgenootschappen ter wereld met meer dan 9 miljoen leden in 197 landen. Meer info over RCCG Enschede: https://www.rccgags.nl/

Dit is het derde Singin’ for (inner) Peace – Meezingconcert van een reeks van vier in 2026. Ze vinden allemaal op een zaterdag middag plaats in de Kerk van Goud. (aankomende data: 19 december). Via social media verspreiden we van tevoren opnames van alle songs van 26 september.

Zangervaring is niet nodig.

Het project wordt mogelijk gemaakt door Cultuurfonds Overijssel, Paul Pella Fonds, Gemeente Enschede en Stichting Singin’ for Peace.

In English
At the Singin’ for (inner) Peace – Sing-Along Concerts, hosts Janina and Uli and the Sista’s Choir sing together with their guest choir and the audience. The goal is to bring together the many singing multicultural residents of Enschede and to feel the connection with one another through music. On September 26, our guest choir is the ‘RCCG Amazing Grace Sanctuary Choir Enschede’ (Black Gospel). The members of this choir all come from Africa and celebrate their faith in the African tradition: singing with complete devotion. It is very special to witness. They perform regularly during the services of the Enschede branch of the African RCCG church.

The two choirs sing each other's songs together and invite the audience to sing along. For singing together is like sharing food together—it is a gesture of hospitality and openness towards one another.

The location is the 'Kerk van Goud' (formerly Oosterkerk), which has room for 500 people. So bring all your friends and family along, because the bigger and more diverse the singing group, the better.

Suggested amounts for a donation ticket (Children are always free)
around €7 for people with low income
around €14 for people with normal income
around €20 for people who would like to give something extra.

If you have even less money to spend, you are still very welcome on September 26 for less or for free. There is enough space for everyone.

The repertoire ....

...is a special mix of traditional world songs (Roma, Arabic, African, Indian) and the modern Gospel songs of our guest choir.

Musical accompaniment
Such a sing-along concert requires a solid musical foundation. For this, we have experienced double bassist Uli Wentzlaff-Eggebert and Ies Muller, one of the best folk flutists from the Netherlands. Janina Stopperka on accordion and ukulele.

Creating connection
We trust that music is a universal language that everyone understands, regardless of their cultural background. The women of the Sists’s choir therefore stand among the audience during the Sing-Along Concert, so that everyone quickly picks up the songs and dares to sing along at the top of their lungs. The songs are often repeated and the (usually short) lyrics are displayed on a screen. Advanced singers are invited to improvise backing vocals.

Guest Choir
The African 'RCCG Amazing Grace Sanctuary Choir Enschede' performs regularly during the services of the Enschede branch of the African RCCG church. The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is a Pentecostal congregation of African origin with its headquarters located in Nigeria. This is the third Singin’ for (inner) Peace – Sing-Along Concert of a series of four in 2026. They all take place on a Saturday afternoon in the Kerk van Goud. (Upcoming dates: December 19). We will distribute recordings of all songs from September 26 in advance via social media.

No singing experience is required.
