About this event
Reconnect with (your) nature through Ayurveda
Step out of the rush of daily life and enter a few days of ‘ayurvedic’ warmth, simplicity and deep nourishment in a stunning setting. This 4-day (3-nights) Ayurveda and Yoga retreat invites you to slow down, breathe, feel, and reconnect with the quiet intelligence of your own nature.
Through the timeless & priceless wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga, we explore how the Five Great Elements — space, air, fire, water and earth — live within us and around us. They shape our body, our energy, our digestion, our moods, our rhythms and our need for rest, movement, warmth, softness or grounding. From these elements arise the Three Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. They are our ‘biological managers’, and as living patterns they help us understand ourselves with more clarity and kindness.
During the retreat, you will be gently guided through morning practices, Ayurvedic teachings, Yoga, breathwork, sound, meditation, self-care rituals, nourishing meals and quiet moments in nature. The programme is spacious and experiential. It offers depth without overload. You will not only just ‘learn about’ Ayurveda; you will feel ‘how it works’ in (your) daily life.
Each day has its own rhythm. You arrive, settle and open to the language of the elements. You discover how the doshas move through body and mind. You explore simple ways to balance yourself through food, movement, rest, breath, sound and awareness. And you leave with practical tools: a simple morning routine, a clearer sense of your own constitution, a few self-care practices, and a more grounded way to live with the seasons and your own inner needs.
This retreat is for anyone who verily longs for a meaningful pause. It will be a place to soften and to listen within. To return to what is natural, essential and alive in you. Whether you are new to Ayurveda or already familiar with it, you are warmly invited to come home to yourself. Through the wisdom of nature, the body, and the quiet space within, guided by a small team of excellent teachers and in a beautiful setting and environment.
The retreat will be conducted largely in English; however, 2 of the 4 teachers are Dutch, so language need not be a barrier.
