Femme Floorwork by Poca ft. Rianne

About this event

This is the second Utrecht based workshop hosted by Poca, this time a 2h femme floorwork workshop and she's bringing Rianne into the mix. Rianne, being a contemporary queen, will introduce and dive deeper into floorwork fundamentals with you and Poca will incorporate that in her femme choreography at the end of class.

This femme floorwork session is without heels, so we'll be able to dive deeper into dynamics and floorwork fundamentals. We're going to learn to be fully comfortable and grounded with the movements and then continue to play with different energies to translate feminine energy in your own way. Whether that's playful, fierce or soft and sensual, there's space for all of it!

Rianne is a contemporary dancer and teacher graduated from ArtEZ. She recently danced with the young company FreeBodies and worked with DOX. Over the years she has deepened her knowledge in different styles of contemporary dance and improvisation methods. In her teaching she puts the focus on different forms of flow, articulation of the body, grounding and softness. She likes to keep an open mind and let movement speak for itself

Poca is a dancer with a versatile background, now mainly focusing on hip hop, heels & feminine. She loves combining energies and styles, acknowledging we can find our way through and learn from many “boxes” as long as we don’t forget their foundations. Her classes are all about energy, having fun expressing yourself & the goal of stepping out of the class with more than just moves.
