You are warmly invited into a special end-of-Spring edition of Tea & Shibari on Friday night, May 29th, with Kozy, Leila and Artists at LIMINAL in Amsterdam.

Held in the threshold between Spring and Summer, this evening unfolds under the theme “Before the Full Bloom.” A moment of quiet ripening. A deep inhale before expansion. A space to root into the body, soften into the heart, and attune to what is ready to emerge, before summer starts.

This edition is a very special XL offering, featuring the Blue Lotus Tea, a sacred plant medicine rooted in Egyptian mystics tradition, known for its gentle yet profound ability to open the heart, awaken sensual presence, and deepen connection to the divine within. It’s served in an ancient tea ceremony, paired with meditation. It’s mild and non-psychedelic/functional.

Like the lotus flower, we are invited into a journey with live Shibari performances for the full expression: from the mud, through the waters, toward the light, not yet fully blossomed, but getting ready.


The Journey

The evening begins with a grounding and inward arrival through a Tea Ceremony.
Guided by Leila and the tea serving team, you will be served multiple rounds of Blue Lotus Tea, alongside carefully selected seasonal teas. This ceremonial space invites a deep slowing down, each sip a prayer, each breath a return within.

We then transition into the art of Shibari, a deeply embodied practice rooted in Japan, where rope becomes a language of connection, devotion, and expression. Through the interplay of tension and surrender, structure and flow, beauty and the raw, Shibari mirrors the inner state of becoming: the delicate yet beautiful space between holding and opening.

For this special edition, we are honored to have 4 well-known international Shibari performers, making this evening an even more rare and refined experience. Artists will share a few rounds of performances, expressions, bringing multiple layers of storytelling, intimacy, and artistry for the night.

Each performance is uniquely paired with specially selected and freshly served premium tea with seasonal herbs that match the vibe, weaving together sensation, emotion, and presence into one journey.

Towards the end, we will open up the space for live Q&A and sharing with our artists.

Leila considers herself an Artist of Life who’s passionate about tea, plant medicines and healing arts, and her practices are deeply inspired by the ancient wisdom of the Tao/Way of Nature and Tantra. She hosts a variety of Tea and Plant Medicine Ceremonies, often combined with embodiment practices to bring us back to what truly matters in our body and soul. She is also a facilitator in the field of Sensuality, Tantra and De-armouring, sharing her gifts in creating sacred spaces and working with life force energies through Tantric Bodywork and Tantric Temple Gatherings. She is committed to help integrate those profound ancient wisdom into a mindful and balanced daily lifestyle.
