About this event

The summer has begun and we are ending this season of dances with a community edition OUTSIDE ecstatic dance! All tickets are donation based; give what you can :) A donation of 10 euro's will make us able to cover the costs <3

After this edition we are back again with the regular programming from September onwards! Wishing you all an amazing summer <3

After the dance there is an option to join a (preferrably vegan) potluck and jam session. Please bring your own cutlery and plates for the potluck.

Practical information:

- Please bring your own cup/bottle for the water and tea we will provide.
- You are just as welcome to come on your own as to come with friends!

Even though you can move as freely as you want, there are some guidelines everyone must follow:
- We dance barefoot (or on socks).
- No talking on the dancefloor: Making sounds is allowed!
- No alcohol or other substances: We will provide you with as much water and tea as you need.
- No electronic devices: You can store all your devices safely in the dressing room.

Times:
- Entry at 13.00 (From 14.00 there will be no one at the door to let you in, so joining later is not possible)
- Opening ceremony with Jascha from 13.30 to 14.00
- Dance journey with DJ B.Art from 14.00 to 16.00
- Live music with Linde from 16.00 to 16.15
- Closing circle from 16.15 to 16.30
- Chill space from 16.30 to 17.00
- Jam session + potluck (pls bring your own cutlery and plate) from 17.00 til whatever time we decide to go home

Please note that these times are estimates. Based on our experience, we recommend allowing an additional 15 minutes for the conclusion of the event.

About DJ B.Art (Bart): “My philosophy around Ecstatic Dance is to craft an intentional journey. Every journey tells a different story, and every journey can be embodied in the dancers own, unique, way. During this journey I invite the dancer to explore their authentic self-expression through movement, sound and to be with whatever arises in the moment. Come explore with me, together as one!

Expect a musical adventure that carries you through highs and lows, inspired by nature, rooted in a tribal base and infused with sounds and styles that wander across the globe."

About Jascha: "Dancing for me is being in, moving with and enjoying my own body. Ecstatic Dance provides a space for this freedom of expression of everything that wants to come out. As well as a space to practice listening to your body, its limits, its wants, its needs. Seeing it as a collaboration rather than a ‘using of’. Being thankful and kind to the body thats been given us.

I believe Ecstatic Dance can bring you back to your own body and to a certain calm and bliss, as you step out of your head and be fully present in yourself and the moment. This for me happens when I let the music fully guide me and by moving without thinking.

However, this can be a challenge to achieve immediately, so let’s practice to love, take care of and show ourselves a little bit more each day. And let’s dance, connect and enjoy together at Grounded!!"
