Over dit evenement
We welcome you to a day-evening in the woods where we’ll take shelter in stories, fire, food, ritual, sharing and tree- wandering.
You’ll hear stories from Flanders, from Germany and Northern England, offering an idea of being that dwells here for us to find our way in the here and now. Among the stories we’ll share impressions left on us, weaving a blanket of insight to wear around our shoulders as we head home.
Simon Hodges, from the Isle of Britain, is a seasoned storyteller known for the irreverent joy of his telling, his instinctive poetry, and the babbling ease of his gatherings. Over the last 16 years, he’s gathered an unruly tribe who walk between mystical and ordinary, soul and intellect, find release in poetic epiphany, and bring riches they’ve discovered to their family and community and work they hold most dear.
*A note from Simon*
I’ve started gathering people for longer form story days and weekends six years ago, and feel they’ve become exceedingly rich. The many-wayed seeing of ancient stories leads to a deep encounter with each other and the place we’re in. Whatever my adventures with work or raising a family, I always return here, to a circle of bright-eyes, an old story flickering something newfound into being.
