Just like the outer seasons, women move through inner seasons: the different phases of our menstrual cycle. In this retreat, we’ll take our time to delve into the wisdom of our cycle - in a holistic, grounded and embodied way. An afternoon where Western science meets ancient Eastern embodiment. You’ll discover the science of hormones and the brain, as well as embody the inner seasons through a fluid journey of yoga, breathwork, music & deeply restorative nidra - which will allow you to actually féél the rhythm & wisdom of each season deep within your bones.


CHANGING WINDS
Us women don’t operate in a linear way. We flow in cycles. A natural rhythm of inner seasons packed with wisdom and inner guidance, if we know how to listen. Yet often it can feel like we are expected to show up in life in a way that’s constant, steady and unchangeable in how we feel, love, think, function or how productive, sociable or energetic we are. But for most women the reality is different. One week of the month you simply feel, think and show up differently than the other. That’s not just imagination, it’s an actual changing play of hormones and activated brain areas that result in our female cycle. A natural rhythm which at times asks for rest and introspection, and sometimes for productivity and connection. That moving rhythm is not a weakness – it is our strength. And becoming aware of and connected to this rhythm inside of us, lays at the root of increased hormonal balance, a regulated nervous system, awakened fertility and increased connection & compassion toward our inherently wise body.


WHAT TO EXPECT?
✨ Understanding of what happens in your body, brain & hormones during the different inner seasons & how to live more in tune with them
✨ Learning (and tasting!) what nutrition your body needs in each inner season and why. Go home with a super practical cheat sheet to place on your refrigerator - as an easy reminder of which nutrition to lean towards in the season you are currently in
✨ Embodied practices for each phase of the cycle to support hormonal balance: uplifting yoga, expression with live music, releasing breathwork & deeply restorative nidra
✨ Live guitar music by Leah Uijterlinde
✨ A personal, holistic, grounded approach
✨Connection with other women who are on the same exploration as you. You are definitely not alone with your cycle and its related experiences, challenges and opportunities. Hearing each other and exploring our natural rhythms in a safe environment, makes the process feel so much more supported and enjoyable.


WHY THIS RETREAT?
So often have I thought: hów is it possible we haven’t learned such fundamental knowledge about our very own female bodies at school? A little more understanding can bring you incredibly much: more compassion, slack, or connection to yourself, your body and its wisdom. With an average of 500 cycles in a woman’s lifespan, it pays to get to know and understand your natural rhythm better. So that your cycle is no longer something that’s 'unpractical' or ‘something to struggle through alone (and preferably without anyone noticing it)’ but instead: a natural, wise rhythm that you can learn to flow and synchronize with.


FOR WHO?
This Inner Seasons Retreat is for every woman that’s curious about her cycle and natural inner rhythm. Whether you are familiar with it already and want to dive deeper, or are new to it and would simply like to get to know yourself better: you are warmly welcome. Come as you are – with your unique cycle (or absence of it), your curiosity, questions, silence, discomfort, vulnerability, tingly nerve or excitement.

ABOUT MELANIE
This retreat is carefully crafted & guided by Melanie Fissendjidis. With The Well Women, Melanie specializes in holistic well-being for women. She’s a certified practitioner & facilitator who unites her knowledge and experience from yoga, breathwork, nidra, mindfulness, tantra, deep restoration of the nervous system, and women’s health. As an experienced spaceholder in retreats & workshops, she brings these different perspectives together for more balance in the hormonal and nervous system. In her approach she loves to balance Western modern science with ancient Eastern philosophies and practices. Creating an experience that’s both grounding and in-depth, connected and introspective.
