Ticket includes: A short documentary by Lian Jonkman, painting & poetry sharing by Michelle Knight, Michelle Knight Take-home booklet of poetry and paintings by Michelle, and a space for questions and conversation. And the opportunity to buy prints from Michelle. Drinks & snacks. To raise money for Sunbird Restoration NPC in SA.

This evening begins with a viewing of a short documentary (approx. 14 min) by Lian Jonkman about artist Michelle Knight (South Africa) and her relationship with art as a healing practice. Rather than focusing on outcomes, the process of artmaking becomes a form of listening, reflecting and giving expression to that which is alive within us.

After the screening, we'd love to open the space for conversation - feel free to ask anything related to the topic; intuitive creation, art as a tool for self-exploration, or the creative process behind the video. Michelle will also share some of her paintings on screen and read aloud selected poems - each attendee will receive a booklet of Michelle’s poetry and paintings. You have the opportunity to purchase or order prints, all net proceeds from tickets and prints go to the fundraiser.

Fundraiser - All net proceeds of tickets sold support Ingcungcu Sunbird Restoration NPC (http://ingcungcu.org) in South Africa, a project that brings nature into schools and communities, planting fynbos gardens and creating spaces for children to connect with the environment, develop themselves, and experience the joy of nature. Optional extra €5 donation tickets are available for those who would like to contribute a little more.

If you feel inspired and want to explore intuitive art further, Michelle’s half-day workshop on the morning of 28th March is a wonderful way to continue the experience. Attending the workshop is optional and not necessary to enjoy the evening.
