We are Michiel and Misi, dedicated members of The Gathering of Men community. We are excited to invite you for an event to connect with likeminded people through the magical bond between men: Football.

At TGOM, men come together with a desire for depth and to discover their authentic selves. That’s not easy, because the authentic self was often rejected, as many men have hidden it away. Many of these rejections (or even traumas) took place on the sports field or playground. Where teams were formed, and players were chosen or left out. These experiences remain unspoken and continue to live on. That’s where the idea for this event came from.

Our core question: How can we give everything to win while staying connected to our teammates, protecting joy and emotional safety?

We are promoting men mental health and shedding light on bullying on the football field by playing football with a different mindset than doing everything to make the other team lose. We believe competition and connection can exist side by side!

For who?
For men who likes to connect through play.
For men who knows that without competition no one wins, but without connection everyone loses.
For men who would like to have fun while learning something about himself which can be implemented in his daily life.

What to expect?
Playing football freely and connecting with brothers, with conscious interventions before the game, during half-time and afterwards.

As a bonus you are invited for an optional potluck dinner afterwards 5 minutes from the pitch to meet The Gathering of Men community.
