Come flow with us during this special on Sunday morning with a Contact Improvisation facilitated by Maxim van Eersel, followed by an Ecstatic Dance with DJ Kahmeya.
You can come for the whole experience or just for the dance, please check the times below as they are slightly different than usual.
CONTACT IMPROVISATION
Around eight years ago, Maxim van Eersel (BE) discovered Ecstatic Dance, and since then his passion for movement has only deepened. His journey led him to contact improvisation, a dance and movement practice centered on listening, playful exploration, touch, weight and connection.
In recent years, Maxim has been offering regular workshops in dance and movement, drawing continuous inspiration from contact improvisation. With enthusiasm, he invites participants to explore intuitive concepts that can enrich their dance. Together, we’ll delve into the possibilities of shared movement with curiosity and attentiveness.
DJ Kaymeya
Enter the fiery dance floor of ‘Little firecracker’ Kahmeya. Dj, producer & vocalist from the Netherlands. Get carried away in a rhythmic cadence. Her dj-sets are filled with indie dance & organic/tribal house records. Dare to connect with the pushing grooves, ethnic influences, psychedelic elements and live-vocals of Kahmeya.
Her dance floor is fiery, sexy and bossy at the same time. Embrace the now, the infectious tempo, the freedom to be yourself and forget the world around you. She has proven her talent at Thuishaven, Wildeburg, Bosburcht, Best Kept Secret and Into the Woods and her ambition is limitless. ‘Let’s create an energy, where we can
connect, share and enjoy freedom together’.
PRACTICALITIES:
10:00 Doors open, change, relax and get to know the space.
10:20 Start Workshop Contact Improvisation - please be on time!
11:45 - 12:00 break (doors open for only the dance)
12:00 Intro ED
12:15 Ecstatic Dance with Kahmeya followed by a closing sound journey
14:30 Time to go home and we tidy up the space for closing
Please note that we do not serve lunch this edition, so be welcome to bring something to feed your after-dance-hungry belly. Snacks will be served during the dance this time.
- During the dance there will be water and tea provided (please bring your own bottle!)
- Wear comfortable clothes to move freely in
- We encourage you to join from the whole experience, please aim to be on time
- Space holders are present if there is anything you need
- Bring earplugs if you feel you are (more) sensitive to sound, it can get loud

WHAT MAKES THE DANCE 'ECSTATIC'?
An invitation to check in with yourself, to dance, move, enjoy yourself this Sunday morning!
Flow freely by expressing yourself through movement in a pure (without substances) and transforming way with respect to the people around you. The dance space is a phone-free and non-speaking area where we dance without shoes.
