In 'Morning Medicine' we gather in the quiet of the day, when the world is still soft and your heart most open. We drink ceremonial cacao, connect in presence, and drop into a sound journey with handpan, voice, bowls, and silence.
A gentle reset for your nervous system.
An invitation to remember what really matters before the world starts asking.
This ceremony takes place in 'Welkom in Het Verre Oosten' ~ a sanctuary for connection and creation, nestled in the green of Wijhe (just south of Zwolle).
A space where you can share what’s alive in you.
No judgment. No fixing. Just presence, an open heart, and deep listening.

If you’d love to already land in Het Verre Oosten and arrive rested for Morning Medicine, you’re welcome to stay overnight in our group accommodation. You can book this by sending us an email.
Private room: €85,- / Shared room: €50,- pp

Departure: 11:30 (after Morning Medicine)
The stay is self-catering: please bring your own bed linen (blanket and pillow are provided), towel, as well as your own food and drinks. You’ll have access to the shared living room, kitchen and sanitary facilities. Please send us an email to check if the rooms are available.

Mark and Evelien had a dream: to create a place in nature to land with their family, and plant seeds of loving awareness. In 2021, that dream took root when they bought an old farm surrounded by green fields. From that soil grew Welkom in Het Verre Oosten ~ a sanctuary where connection blossoms, creativity flows, and soul-stirring gatherings come to life.

Cacao is a heart-opening plant medicine.
If you're new to it: it has both softening and uplifting effects, which vary from person to person.
To let the cacao do its gentle magic, we ask you not to eat for 3 hours beforehand, and to avoid coffee and alcohol 24 hours in advance. And nope, you won’t trip or start seeing jungle spirits. Cacao isn’t a psychedelic. We drink it every day and even our children love it.
Think less “outer space,” more “inner warmth.”
It works gently ~ softening your edges, opening your heart, and helping you land a little deeper in yourself.
In some cases, we recommend taking less or skipping cacao altogether; for example if you’re on MAO-based antidepressants, have high blood pressure, heart conditions, or are pregnant/breastfeeding.
We’re not medical professionals, but feel free to reach out if you’re unsure. We’re happy to think along with you.
