You wake up to a symphony of birdsong and step outside to find yourself surrounded by rolling hills. Everywhere you look, the vibrant green of young medicinal herbs and plants catches your eye. In the distance, you might hear the call of a deer—or, if you’re lucky, see one leap before your very eyes. Bees buzz around the blossoms of apple and plum trees, elderflowers fill the air with their sweet aroma, and the vegetable garden overflows with peas, ready for harvest.
There is so much to enjoy at Cal Tut during this magical time. But experiencing this abundance of nature is not the only reason to join us. These weeks are designed to immerse participants in what it means to live regenerative for a week.
Together with our chef, you’ll prepare nourishing, heartwarming meals. You’ll learn how to grow your own food while creating habitats for soil organisms, birds, and insects. You’ll discover how to identify and use edible and medicinal plants to craft drinks, salves, and more. You’ll explore fermentation techniques for a thriving internal flora. And you’ll form deep bonds with fellow participants, connections that often continue to grow long after the week ends. We recently started a syntropic forest, and this week you’ll get the chance to learn about it from an expert and experience it hands-on.
You’ll also spend a week becoming part of Cal Tut and the local community. This rural village of Mieres was on the brink of disappearing 30 years ago but has since been transformed into a thriving community and a hub for grassroots movements that empower locals to take their future back into their own hands.
Experiencing this up close makes regeneration tangible. Something you can bring back and implement in your own environment.

When planning your trip, please keep in mind that the program starts on Saturday April 25th at 16:00 and ends on Saturday May 2nd at 10:00. We strongly recommend organizing and booking your trip as early as possible. Prices for trains and buses tend to increase the closer you get to the departure date. Additionally, arranging a shared car becomes more challenging as the event approaches.
You can book a train ticket to Girona via Trainline or a bus ticket to Barcelona through Flixbus (from where you can take another bus to Banyoles). We offer pick-up for participants traveling by public transport in Girona or Banyoles on Saturday, April 25th, around 3 PM. Drop-off will be provided the following Saturday morning, May 2nd, also in Girona or Banyoles. For those who prefer to travel by train or bus, this means that in some cases you will have to arrive on Friday the 24th to arrive on time. You can choose to spend a night in picturesque Girona. Or if you want to come to the farm on Friday, you are part of the decoration- and preparation team before the other participants arrive on Saturday.
The most economical (and fun) option is to share a car ride. For that, we have created a carpool:
https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/h0g7p5 . Here you can either put a car ride or put yourself on the waiting list to travel with someone.
We do not stimulate air traffic during these weeks, so we explicitly ask everyone not to come by plane.
