🍃WHAT IS RITUAL DANCE? 🍃
The concept of Ritual Dance is inspired by Ecstatic Dance and Ritual Play.
We may set an intention to ritually re-connect to.
We dance barefoot, only drink water and let ourselves be carried away by the natural flow.
Throughout the dancing, the following Ritual gets repeated with *guidelines*:
Leaving words behind, we only use *body language & sound*.
From the verbal silence, we connect with ourselves.
Making eye contact with another dancer, we show ourselves &
*acknowledge the other with a namaste*.
The spontaneous free style dance starts *within the dancing field when the music starts*.
To help create a safe space, Ritual Dance presents *boundaries*:
- *Crossing arms* signalling ‘I want to dance with myself’
- *One dancing outside the field* signalling ‘Let’s dance & not physically touch’
Within all that is connected to, felt & danced, we also follow an important *invitation*:
*Authentically connect to yourself & with that energy, connect with the other*
